Let’s raise a glass to good times and great drinks!
Growing up, I always thought I knew everything there was to know about alcohol. After all, my parents had a fully stocked bar in our home. But as I got older and started going out to bars and restaurants with friends, I quickly realized that there was so much more to learn.
I vividly remember my first time ordering a drink at a fancy bar. The bartender rattled off a list of ingredients I had never heard of before, and I had no idea what to expect from the drink I had just ordered. When it finally arrived, it was beautiful and complex, but I had no idea how to appreciate it beyond just the initial taste.
It was at that moment that I realized I had been missing out on the secrets of mixology that my parents had never shared with me. I had grown up watching them make drinks, but they never explained the basics of mixology or taught me how to truly appreciate the art of cocktail making.
With my newfound knowledge, I became the go-to person among my friends for hosting cocktail parties and making custom drinks. I learned how to pair different flavors and spirits to create truly unique and delicious drinks, and my friends always left my parties with a newfound appreciation for mixology.
